Who we are

Howard Phillips founded The Conservative Caucus (TCC), a non-partisan, nationwide grass-roots public policy advocacy group in 1974.

For 35 years, TCC has been in the forefront of Constitutional conservatism.

In the 1970’s, TCC rallied opposition to the Jimmy Carter-Howard Baker Panama Canal surrender and against such dangerous "armscontrol" treaties as SALT II.  Behind TCC’s grassroots leadership, the conservative movement grew by leaps and bounds culminating in the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980.

During the 1980’s, TCC led national campaigns to restore a U.S. military presence at Panama, deploy SDI, eliminate the graduated income tax, and terminate Federal subsidies to ideological activist groups.  TCC was also actively involved with anti-Communist freedom fighters in Angola and Central America.

Since 1974, TCC has fought for Constitutional conservative principles and policies.  Recently, TCC organized and has led the Coalition To Block The North American Union, an organization devoted to derailing a proposed merger among Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

In addition, TCC has been actively engaged in opposition to NAFTA and the World Trade Organization (WTO), support for passage of the Constitution Restoration Act (CRA), and withdrawal from all institutions of the New World Order, as well as continuing efforts to oppose socialized medicine, abortion, and judicial tyranny.
